The Coventry University BME Staff Network provides a forum for staff that identify as Black and Minority Ethnic (BME).
Black History Month 2021
Black History Month is a national celebration and we are proud to use this opportunity to showcase the contributions of our colleagues, students and stakeholders.
They have come forward to share their initiatives, projects, events, reading recommendations and, importantly, to say why they are ‘proud to be.’
The university has a diverse and vibrant workforce and student communities. We are committed to Creating Better Futures and embracing the need to harness the power and potential of different cultures and backgrounds to achieve this mission.
I’m proud to be part of a community that is rich in a history built on the shoulders of my proud, enlightened and resilient ancestors and an African heritage which has undisputedly and positively inspired and shaped modern day knowledge and innovation.
